Day 7

184 again today. I was awake at 4am this morning so I got up, an hour earlier than usual but that’s ok. At 5 I went running and it was raining pretty good and it was foggy too. It was kind of a relaxing run today; I didn’t take the dogs with me so I didn’t have to worry about them tripping me in the dark. Today I was able to jog the whole route, I hit the hill first while I was still fresh and that helped. The rest of the way is pretty much downhill or flat ground. When I can run this route without a problem then I’ll stretch out and make a different route.

Just the three of us for work again today but it went smoother because we had more people check out and we didn’t have to refresh their rooms. Yay!

I forgot to take a protein to work for lunch so all I ate was cabbage and Melba toast. I went to the grocery store after work to get some more chicken and veggies. I’m sure glad I can mix veggies now, it makes eating a little more interesting. For dinner I had turkey and romaine.

My Mom reads all my blogs, I guess that’s how she knows what I’m up to or down to in this case (my weight) so I’ve got to say hi to her. “Hi Mom, I love you”

Day 6 of South Beach diet

184 pounds. I got up at 5am and went jogging. It was sprinkling rain but it was 51* and it felt wonderful. Work was busy today, one girl didn’t show and so there were three of us to work together and we buzzed right through everything. I’m still learning things so tomorrow I’m going to do things just a bit different if the girl doesn’t show again. I had the same fish salad with salsa (it’s good) for lunch and celery sticks for a snack and I had lean meatballs with sauerkraut for dinner.

Day 5

184 today, life is a yoyo. I got up on time this morning so I jogged early but I couldn’t make it as far without stopping as I did yesterday, I wonder why that happens. I had scrambled eggs and salsa with sauerkraut for breakfast, not to bad. I had nuts for a mid morning snack. There were a lot of stayovers at work today so it was a big day for refreshes and we are now doing turndowns at the same time so I learned how to do both of those. Then we had a few rooms to clean. Busy day, I love days like that where I can stay busy and not think about food or eating and because of that I didn’t eat lunch until 3:30, I had fish salad with salsa. For dinner I had cottage cheese with more sauerkraut. My hands are a little stiff and I’m sure it’s from working them so hard today. I’ll sleep good tonight.

Day 4

185 today…maybe I shouldn’t be jogging but my legs are getting skinny again, when I put my ankles together there is getting to be a tiny space between my thighs. Yes! No more wearing out pants in that area.
Today is a day off work so I’m going to try and blog during the day and tell you what goes on in a typical day of my life. I didn’t set the alarm last night and slept very well after taking Nyquil so I lost 1 ½ hours of my day already. The fire master guy said not to run the dishwasher or dryer when you go to bed so I do my dishes in the mornings and then straighten the kitchen up and put a load of laundry in if needed. Now I’ll fix me something to eat and it looks like eggs again… I think I’ll get some sauerkraut out and have with them. Not to bad. I cleaned out the pantry and restocked the shelves. This is Harmon’s last week for the case lot sale and I won’t get paid until Friday so I hope there is something left when I get there. For my mid morning snack I had 1/3 of an avocado. It’s 11:30, I’m going to go jog before lunch. Boy it’s hot out there 61*, I wore a sweatshirt jacket and about died by the time I got home. For lunch I fixed fish and romaine with tomatoes.
I’ve got scouts today so I need to get my activities ready for the boys. That only took an hour so I’ll vacuum off and under the couches that are downstairs. Hey, I found money, it always pays to clean. I also found Josie’s Ipod and my missing combs. My afternoon snack was a cheese stick.
Scouts was fun, we made marble mazes in cut off boxes. That lasted an hour then I drove them home.
I fixed dinner, chicken and cabbage for me and chicken with rice and sauce for the rest of the family. They don’t want to diet. I’ll watch a couple of TV shows now and then go to bed. Goodnight.

Day 3

183 today. I’m not surprised I ate a lot yesterday. I jogged again today so I must be feeling better. I’m on the down side of sickness. I hate being sick. I see that Kenley got sick too. I wonder if he caught it from here in St. George. I feel for you Kenley.
The days go by so fast at work, I get there at 8:30 and before I know it it’s 10:30 then 2:00 then 5 and time to go home. Now that I’m eating breakfast I forget to eat lunch at noon and it’s usually at 2 and then I’ll eat again at 6. With snacks in between all that I feel like all I do is eat. So for breakfast I had eggs again with a cheese stick for a snack and chicken salad for lunch and I didn’t have my afternoon snack and for dinner I finished my salad that I didn’t eat all of at lunch time.

Day 2

183 today, not bad. I felt a lot better today compared to yesterday. I slept well all night except getting up once to use the bathroom. I must have drunk my gallon of water yesterday. I used the dreaded nose sprays but it kept me unplugged all day until I got home then I took a capful of Nyquil had dinner and off to bed I’m going. I felt very productive at work, I learned a few new things and I burned a batch of cookies so I felt right at home. Everybody who stays at the Inn gets cookies and milk before bed. Makes you want to come stay there doesn’t it.
For breakfast I had 2 scrambled eggs and celery sticks. For my mid morning snack I had a cheese stick. For lunch I had chicken and broccoli and for a snack I had 1/3 avocado. For dinner I had chicken mixed with turkey and baked beans and I didn’t have a snack because I’m going to bed. I certainly didn’t feel hungry today. I drank a lot of water but I don’t think it was a gallon.
Today I turned 49, Terry said happy birthday to me this morning that’s how I remembered it was my birthday and Sarah and her family sang “Happy birthday” to me on the phone when I got home. Zach text me yesterday and asked if I would be up in the Salt Lake area for my birthday. I replied back and said “no, I got a job” I didn’t hear back from him. Molly called me the day before and said she got me another coffee table book, Anne Geddes(sp), I love her books. Mom told me happy birthday Saturday when I called to check in on her and Dave ( tomorrow is Dave’s B-day and the 21st is Mom’s B-day)they also sent me a beautiful card, thanks mom and Dave, I love you guys.

Day 1 of South Beach diet

182 this morning, probably because I didn’t eat anything last night. Oh what a miserable night. I hate being sick, have I told you that lately? I couldn’t breath, my throat hurt, my nose would run, I would cough, ugh…now I have a headache. I want my mommy! Terry is being good though. Making sure I have water and he rubbed vapor rub on my feet and chest last night. He rubs my arm and my head and he’s so cute about it I don’t want to tell him “don’t touch me, it hurts” poor guy. I hate being sick.
Today is the first day of our south beach diet and I’m going to cook a turkey but I’m not sure what to cook with it. We can’t have potatoes, bread, stuffing or yams and I don’t know about gravy so I guess we’ll have lots of veggies with it.

Well the turkey was done way before I thought it should be and was falling apart but it was edible I fixed some cabbage to go with it and had 1/3 of an avocado for my fat. I also had turkey and cabbage for dinner with peanuts for a snack before bed. I’m not feeling any better I hope I feel better in the morning, I can’t miss any work.
