Day 15
I weighed 197 still this morning. Another plateau? We left early this morning. The girls came in and woke us up at 3am. They said they didn't want us to wake them up. We filled up with gas and
headed out. The weather cooperated with us very well. There were a few snowy spots but it didn't cause us any problems. I was a little hungry on the drive but drank my tea and water and didn't have to eat until 12:30, chicken and tomatoes. I ate in the car before going in to the party so I wouldn't have to eat in front of my family. Okay let me say this. I was not hungry when they ate and everything looked and smelled great, I was not tempted to eat but I did feel like I was missing out on a fabulous meal. That's me eating the apple.
When we left we stopped for gas and I went inside to pay and noticed the donut case, again I wasn't tempted but felt like I was missing out on what other people can enjoy.
I know it will all be worth it in the end.
About 6pm I felt hungry again so I had tilapia and was good until 9pm when we got to our destination I had the cabbage and melba toast. To full for fruit tonight. I took some pictures at the party and when I get home I'll post them.
This was a fun game we played. Everyone drew a slip of paper out of a bowl and it is the name of an animal. Only one other person has the same animal as you ( so there are pairs of animals, a different animal for each 2 persons) when the caller says "go" everyone starts making the noise or actions of their animal and tries to find their mate before anyone else does. It can get pretty noisy so be prepared.

Day 14
This is me at work. The nut roaster. My last day.
We need to get packed to go to Salt Lake City to see my family and Idaho to see Terry’s family tomorrow. I hope I can keep up on the blog while I’m on the road.

Day 13
Today was my last day at the Totally Nuts warehouse :( (www.totallynutz.com). I loved working there. When I first started I was eating nuts all the time because I had to sample them to make sure they were cooking right and of course I had to sample all the other nuts and sweets too for quality control you know. (another example of how my eating was out of control) It was close to 1 month later when I started the HCG Diet and immediately had to stop eating them. It was hard at first because I had gotten used to taking one off of the tray when I would rack it. I would find myself going to do this and pull my hand back and say, “no, no, can’t do that any more.” And except for one occasion when a pinhead of hot glaze splashed on my hand nothing from the warehouse went into my mouth. After a few days I wasn’t even tempted anymore.
It’s amazing how I’m not tempted on a lot of things. My girls and I made caramel corn puffs tonight and I didn’t even want to taste one and when it was time to break them up I didn’t even touch them because of the butter in them, I didn’t want it to absorb into my skin.
I had the same breakfast and lunch was chicken salad and dinner was tilapia. I’m really getting to like that fish. My husband asked if I could have halibut because he likes that too and then we could all eat the same thing. I think he’s starting to realize this ain’t no hoax.

Day12
I still weigh 199, hopefully this is the last day at this weight.
I went to bed late again and forgot to set my alarm and didn’t get up until
My bosses took our small work group to breakfast this morning to The Egg and I. The food there is so good and I couldn’t have anything but tea, they didn’t have any grapefruit. Everybody’s plates looked good, before this diet I could have eaten everything they got but I really had no appetite. Again I think of my old eating habits and it makes me ill to think I used to eat like that or that I even could’ve eaten like that. When this is over I’m pretty sure I’m going to be feeding my family better.

Day 11
Today I weighed in at 199. The same as yesterday’s weight. Dr. Simeon’s book Pounds & Inches says that this will happen but I didn’t want it to happen so soon. The book says that when the fat cells empty of fat the cells are no longer needed and so they are broken down and water replaces them for a few days but will soon be flushed away. So the diet is still working it’s just in another phase for a couple of days. Still… I like to see the scale going down.
Did you know that Oreo cookies have a chemical in them that leaves you wanting to eat more Oreo’s? No wonder I could never eat just one. They don’t even have to list this on the package because the FDA says that it’s a safe ingredient.
My menu today: Tea, water and more water for breakfast. Grilled chicken, radishes, melba toast and an orange for lunch and on the run I grabbed chicken, cucumbers and melba toast for dinner.
I was kind of having dizzy spells on and off during the day and thought that I must be really tired, I get up at

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow
Can you believe this! It's very rare that we get this
much snow at one time. The girls had to go out
and build Mr. snowman.
These are the lights on our house this year.
The whole family helped put them up. We have
blue ones on top of the garden fence that is to the right of the house. Just out of the picture.
Day 10
Today while I was at work I grabbed my lower arms close to my elbows and they felt so thin I couldn’t stop doing it. My upper arms felt thinner too. It feels so good to know that the fat is going away. I can’t believe how good I feel. I’m not tired during the day and I have enough energy to get through it without any problems. My old habits are still thinking that I should eat more often but then I check myself for hunger and it’s just not there. No cravings either. My daughters were eating mint M&M’s (one of my favs) and I didn’t even want any. Amazing!

Day 9
I just had tea and water for breakfast again and I grilled chicken on the George Forman Grill for lunch and had some celery with it.
I spent the day in the kitchen after work. I made chicken stock. I started it this morning before work and let it simmer about 10 hours. I strained it through cheesecloth first and then tried to strain it through coffee filters but as soon as the filters clogged up they wouldn’t let the stock flow through any more. I ended up with about 2 gallons of stock for myself and I made chicken noodle soup for my family out of the chicken, celery and onions I had boiled. I made them new stock with chicken cubes and water and it must have tasted good because my 2 girls that don’t eat much each had 2 bowls of it and my husband had 3. I sure wanted to eat some of the soup too along with the biscuits but I was strong and didn’t even sneak a taste.
For my dinner I had tilapia with tomatoes and strawberries for dessert.
My husband is so cute he keeps saying “You’re disappearing right before my eyes” I told him I feel like this is a dream and I’ll wake up tomorrow and it will all be over. He assures me it’s real.
