Day 1 continued

Waiting for a teenager to get off the internet is like waiting for the first drop of ketchup from a new bottle.
The party was fun as usual. The dinner was the same thing as usual. Ham, baked potato, salad, roll and desert. Again I stuffed myself to uncomfortabeness. (if that's even a word)
I saw Dr. Hinkle today, we talked about the different pills that I take and he seemed to think that I would be able to quit taking them. It is up to me if I want to stop now or latter. I'll stop one now because I'm sure I won't be eating anything that I shouldn't after tommorrow. He gave me my first injection along with some B12, in my hip, I didn't even feel the medicine going in. I could totally give myself the injections. I go back in tommorrow to see Monica, the nurse, for the next injection and weight check. Today I weighed 216. The heaviest I have ever weighed. (boohoo)

HCG day 1

Today is the official 1st day of the HCG diet. It's the 1st high fat day. I went to work at Entrada Country Club this morning at 7:30. I am the hostess for the restaurant so I figured I could get lots of fat at work. I started with a cup of decaf green tea and then a cup of hot chocolate then a cup of Sierra Mist. I ate 2 cheese and bacon biscuits and had some hard candy I brought to work to share with everyone. I ate a thin mint and then fixed a warm brownie and stuck 2 candy cane kisses in it and ate that. Just before lunch time I had a bowl of beef and baked potato soup and then topped it all off with a chocolate lave cake with vanilla ice cream. The cooks at work are shaking their heads and can't believe that I can eat all that. Me either. When I left work I went to the grocery store and bought a half gallon of eggnog and drank half of that undiluted. Ugh. I feel so full and I really want to throw it all up but I know I won't. I haven't even got to dinner yet. We are just on our way out now to a Christmas Dinner at our church. I'll catch you up when we get back.

Diet eve

This is my 2nd post that was supposed to go online yesterday. Marium called me this morning and said that I will start my HCG diet on Saturday.
She said that for the first 2 days I am to eat (gorge on) a high fat content diet of hamburgers, fries, milk shakes, cookies, candy bars, bread & butter and so on.
Are you for real! I asked her why I would want to do that and she said it will kick start my metabolism or something like that, I’ll understand better as I read more and get going on this. When you don’t eat much your body holds onto fat and we want it to let go of the fat so eat away. So, the first thing I think about is a Big Mac. I haven’t had one of those in years. I was at a health fair a few years ago and the only thing I really remember about it was a booth that had a row of test tubes filled with fat from different foods. Some had a little bit in and others had more but the Big Mac had 2 tubes full of fat and it made me sick to think of all that fat going into my stomach. Don’t get me wrong, they taste wonderful and I still want one but this time it’s actually okay to eat one and not fell bad. Halleluiah brother! MacDonald’s, here I come. We’re talking large fries and large chocolate shake and maybe even a cherry turnover, oh yeah. That’s just lunch. Breakfast will be a huge glass of cold eggnog, undiluted, or maybe chocolate milk, I’m feeling kind of kinky and then dinner! Where should I go. How about Outback no… Chili’s, they have this creamy dish of pasta that is out of this world. Oh man, I’m drooling all over my computer.
Do you know that the Lin’s ad this week has Hershey’s candy cane kisses on sale for $2.79 a bag. (I bought 2) One of the first things my husband said when I told him about doing this diet was “Do I get to eat all your candy now?” “Not for two days!” I told him. I’m eating it as fast as I can, I never thought eating candy could be such a chore.
Marium had me come in for a Micro Fit Test today. I think she really just wanted to see how much hurt I could take before going down. She took those darn pictures of me and had them on the web site before I could edit them. Then she wanted to see how many times I could take off and put on my shoes and socks. Then she wanted to see how many stairs I could climb in three minutes, but I got her on that one. That was the only area where I was actually in shape because I have been walking to work the last five weeks. Then came the crunches, are you kidding me! You want me to use what muscles? It was a struggle to do one, I barely made two. I did a little better with the push-ups (4). Am I pathetic or what, I shouldn’t even be alive. I bet I sleep good tonight though.

HCG Diet

I got a phone call from a good friend of mine who happens to work at Green Valley Spa here in St. George. She told me I won an hcg diet from the What Women Want Expo free of charge and all that I have to do is blog about it every day. This is what I wrote the very first night I heard about winning it.
I am a 48 year old mother of 7 and grandmother of 4.33 grandchildren. I am 5'9" and weigh 214 lbs. To the average person I am big and overpowering. There is nothing I can do about my height and I have tried to get my weight down but for some reason I just keep getting heavier. When I was in high school I weighed 148 and was 5'10". After I had each one of my first 3children I got back down to 150 lbs. I had a job in a school kitchen and during the 9 months of school I could and usually did gain 5 lbs. but would lose it again during the summer. Then 7 years later when I decided to have another child I gained 30 lbs with her and after she was born the weight just never went fully away. I was at 170 lbs. when I got pregnant again and again I gained 30 lbs. It was harder than ever to lose weight after that. I followed a doctor’s diet plan and lost 25 lbs but it didn't take long and it was back. I started a new job and the stress from that helped me lose weight again but as soon as I got comfortable the weight started coming back. I was able to use the exercise facility where I worked and that helped me maintain my weight at 180 lbs. for a while but then even with exercising I started to gain again. I left that job just over a year ago and since I quit exercising I have gained weight again and am now up to 214 lbs. I hurt everywhere. My back because my stomach is so big and I arch my back to balance myself. My knees hurt from the extra weight. My feet hurt from all the pressure on them, (I think I have flat feet now) I have very low energy and whenever I bend over I have to hold my breath until I stand up again. I have to sit down to put my socks on because I have no balance when I lift one foot off the ground. I have to lay down to zip up my pants. See where I'm going with this? My sister has done this diet and lost 40 lbs. in 40 days. We basically have the same genes so I'm thinking if it worked for her it has to work for me. People used to say that I looked a lot younger than I was but they don't say it so much any more. I feel like I'm 60 years old. I really would like to get fit and be able to stay that way. My sister has been taken off all her medications because of the hcg diet, my hope is to be able to do the same.

New Residents to St. George

My dad and stepmother just moved to St. George. Well not just, they've been here for maybe a couple of month's. Their new home is in Bloomington Hills, just south of St. George. It was kind of a fixer upper and they have done just
that. I didn't see what it looked like when they bought it but it sure is cute now.
They painted using the fall colors that are so popular right now. They moved the old wagon into the front yard
and a playhouse out of the back yard. They have planted fruit trees and grape vines in the back yard. Dad is going to make the garage the music room and build a roof over the side drive for a carport. The tree you see in the picture is the palm tree Dad bought just after they moved in. He is so proud of it, hense the picture. They now have a few more palms in the front yard
