Can you believe I found a package of just chocolate wafers!
Then we drove up the mountain, on our own since I forgot to bring the map with us.
Taylor got her first lesson on road kill and what not to do after she hit the squirrel. She slowed down and swerved just as I was telling her not to. Thump, Thump. "Did I run over it?" she says as we both look in the mirrors. Yup! Congrats, girl, on your first road kill.
Then she couldn't just leave it there. She had to move it off the road. I told her not to touch it and to get a stick. I had to video this, I knew it would be too funny.
We found Little Resevoir Campground about 8 miles up the canyon.
It's a fee area. Further up the canyon you can find free sites.
Didn't see by maybe 3 campsites and a potty.
And the resevoir. This picture is from the dam.
We left this area and headed up further, made a right turn on Kent's Lake Road, there was a sign that said it's a loop but the road is closed 4 miles ahead. We drove for a while and all we saw were a bunch of private cabins. Then we noticed that we were low on gas so we turned around and headed back to Beaver for some gas. Tay snapped a beautiful picture of herself so I had to put it in since it was part of our fun day together.
