I had so much fun carving pumpkins with the kids. Look at what we did.

Summer 09 Trip

We started it out in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho.

Then moved to the Snake River to run it for 3 days. We would load our boats with as many people as we could, we only had 3 boats and about 60 people who wanted to run.
And of course we had to have the family pics. Dan & Gaylene bought everyone matching shirts from Jackson Hole. Thanks Dan & Gaylene it was a perfect reunion. Next stop was Belfry, Montana to see Terry's sister. Josie and I got to ride the horses while we were there.Red Lodge, Montana is by Belfry, it's a ski resort in the winter and a tourist trap in the summer. It has lots of little shops like a candy emporium that has candy from the olden days and an old fashioned toy store. Beartooth Highway starts here and goes over the pass to Cooke City.
Cooke City was next on the agenda. Terry's nieces used to work here in the summers.

Yellowstone and Old Faithful were obviously the next stop and the only one we made in the park that day. We had visited with Jenni a couple days earlier at Grant Village.

Gretta wants to say something

Gretta wanted to talk today so I had Dallen hold her so she could see me better and talk to me. I think Dallen and Gretta kind of look alike.

The forgotten

Gretta had to smile at me when I sat down to hold her. Isn't she just a cutie! Terry took me to breakfast this morning and on the menu they had a breakfast sandwich called Gretta Love, I just had to eat one. yum yum.

And then there are the forgotten children when a new baby arrives. I finally got Noah to sit still long enough to get this picture. We just ate pizza and he has it all over his face, but you take what you can get when you can get it, right?

I must have needed it

All I did yesterday was sleep. Well, between household jobs anyway. I would sit to rest and fall asleep, wake up do another small job and sleep and on and on. When it came time to go to bed I wasn't tired at all but I did finally fall asleep around 11:30pm, slept all night, slept in this morning and I feel great now. I'm getting all the little jobs out of the way today, I head back to work tomorrow. :(
Our air conditioner went out a couple of days ago so it's been kind of warm in our house and I think it puts people to sleep when it's hot, don't you?
I think I'm going to put the hammock in our back yard so I can rest out there in the afternoon shade. I went out to the garden to get it and guess what? There's a big hole in it. I had to run to the store to get a new one and then I decided that I needed to paint the frame to match the new hammock so I got paint, got home and the wind decided to blow so now I have to wait for that to quit and I have to go back to work tomorrow so I won't be able to paint it for a while. Bummer :(

Grumpy, Me and Gretta

The air conditioner went out at our house so Terry and the girls went to Sarah's for the afternoon. Gretta fell asleep on Grumpy for a few hours.

When I got off work I went there too. Grumpy handed Gretta to me and I fell asleep with her. She slept on me for over 4 hours.

Seven +

Okay this is no fooling, yesterday I forgot to take my shot of seven + and I was tired and dragging all day at work. This morning when I got up my feet felt swollen and they hurt. Call it coincedence or whatever but I didn't feel good. I made sure taking it was the first thing I did this morning.

I pulled a 12 hour shift at work yesterday and one of the girls that was working with me said she couldn't believe that I had been there that long because I didn't look tired at all, she wanted to know my secret. I blog about it because I didn't notice it but if someone else does it has to be working, right?

You know I'm actually feeling pretty good. My feet don't hurt in the mornings when I get out of bed and that is a real plus in my book. So maybe there is something to this Seven stuff. My back hasn't been bothering me at work either. I'll keep observing and see what else I can notice.

Today I felt a little different, not really tired but not full of energy either. Erica, the girl that I replaced at work told me yesterday that she was always stressed but that she never showed it. I am always stressed at work and that is probably why I have so much energy there, because I'm afraid we won't get everything done that needs to be done in a day, so I run around like a mad person. So today I just kind of relaxed and said, " It will get done if I stress or not." So I choose not to stress, and I didn't and everything still got done. Ta da. So maybe the Seven+ helped and maybe it didn't but let's say it did.

I felt pretty good all day at work, no muscle soreness, no muscle cramping, not bad. Still has a different taste though, maybe it's the seaweed.

I slept pretty good last night but I also didn't get to bed until after 11 either. I usually go to bed by 9. I put the Seven it the refrigerator last night so it would be cold for this morning and when I took my shot it actually tasted better than last nights room temp. shot. I felt pretty good at work all day and I noticed tonight that I wasn't as sore as I usually am after work, in fact I took Taylor and her friends to a movie and stayed awake through the whole thing. I am usually so tired after work that if I sit down I'll fall asleep within minutes.

Ex-Fuse Seven +

My neice Raquel Goodman and her husband Mike sent me a bottle of Seven + and asked me to try it. It is a months supply at 1oz. a day. I got it tonight after Terry got the mail. My daughter Taylor said that she has had it before at her friends house so she got out the shot glass and poured me an ounce of it. It really didn't taste to bad, kind of plummy, but do-able.

Just hours before the amazing Sarah Goodman delivery service. Gretta was born 46 minutes after arriving at the hospital.

Gretta was born at 5:16am . It's about 5:00pm in this pic. She is a hungry girl.

Backyard update

Finally, the other fence panel is up. Now I just need to get out there and start planting. I put some seeds in pods but nothing is happening yet. I want to put a lilac at one side corner and a forsythia at the opposite corner and snap dragons on the inside, my grandkids like making them talk. I may get a white shade and put up for the summer or until the wind blows it away.

Backyard update

Terry and I put up the first panel this morning. We will do the other one next payday. It actually went up pretty easy. I'm the one who dug the holes, good thing it's sandy under the hard crust. What vines should I grow on it? If I plant morning glory then I can plant beans on it in the spring and when they die down I can plant morning glory again. If I plant something permanent then I need to know what is the better plant, wisteria? clematis? other? any suggestions?
